The God We Worship

The God we worship is our creator/maker. He is also the Saviour of all who believe (in his Son Jesus Christ). He is the Sustainer of all things. He is without beginning or end, the great I AM. He is the God of the Old and New Testaments, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the eternal Father of his Son Jesus Christ (who shares in the divine nature with him). He is the Sender Forth of his Spirit who along with the Son shares in the Divine Nature. He is the Judge of all. He is King of the Universe and Lord over all. He is the Author of the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and the New Testaments. He is light and in him there is not darkness at all. He upholds all things by the word of his power. He is all-wise, infinite in power and wisdom. He is faithful to all his promises and does not, nor is able to, lie. He knows the end from the beginning. He searches the hearts of all and knows what is in a man. He does not play favourites; he is not a respecter of persons. He is just, holy and pure. He is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth. He hears and answers prayer. He is good, gracious and kind. He is love. He is a covenant-making God. He made a covenant with/through the Lord Jesus Christ, by which all who place their faith in Him can be forgiven of their sins and have eternal life.
